- Cartonplast GmbH of Germany establishes Cartonplast USA to expand the success in Europe to the US.
- 2000
- Cartonplast imports corrugated plastic tier sheets from Italy to establish glass tier sheet pooling and cleaning service.
- 2001
- Anheuser Busch approves Plastic layer pads and Cartonplast cleaning and service program based on HACCP principles used in Europe.
- 1st Service and Cleaning Center is established in Lafayette, Indiana using wet cleaning technology obtained from Cartonplast GmbH in Europe.
- Saint Gobain Dunkirk joins the Cartonplast Pool servicing Anheuser Busch switching from paper to Cartonplast sealed edge plastic tier sheets. CORBI manages the movement of the tier sheets through the Saint Gobain supply chain and cleans the sheets prior to each use.
- 2002
- 2nd Service and Cleaning Center is established in Houston Texas.
- Longhorn Glass joins the Cartonplast Pool servicing Anheuser Busch switching from paper to Cartonplast sealed edge plastic tier sheets.
- 2003
- OI Los Angeles joins the Cartonplast pool servicing Anheuser Busch.
- Anchor Glass joins the Cartonplast pool servicing Anheuser Busch.
- Fevisa Glass of Mexicali Mexico switches from paper to Cartonplast sealed edge plastic tier sheets.
- 2004
- Cartonplast establishes a manufacturing plant in Wisconsin for corrugated plastic and glass tier sheets.
- 2005
- CORBI LLC is formed as a Joint Venture of Cartonplast GmbH and Orbis Corporation. Orbis’ can tier sheet manufacturing operations become part of CORBI.
- CORBI develops MicroDry™ cleaning process.
- Anchor Hocking switches from paper to plastic tier sheets for internal production.
- Modelo switches to CORBI sealed edge plastic tier sheets for their glass bottle production.
- 2006
- Rexam turns over ownership and management of reusable transport packaging (pallets, top frames and tier sheets) for aluminum beverage cans at all Rexam’s US plants to CORBI. This establishes a national pool service for reusable transport packaging servicing the beverage can market.
- All Anheuser Busch breweries now served by CORBI Pool and no longer use paper tier sheets for the transport of glass bottles.
- Anheuser Busch approves MicroDry™ cleaning process for its tier sheets. The MicroDry process is based on HACCP principles.
- Saint Gobain Glass switches from paper to CORBI sealed edge plastic tier sheets for glass supplied to Summit Beer and Kikkoman.
- 2007
- CORBI completes full implementation of all Rexam plants into CORBI pooling services.
- CORBI establishes pallet washing capability at Ashland Virginia service center based on HACCP principles.
- 2008
- DS Containers joins CORBI pooling services for transport packaging for aerosol cans.
- Saint Gobain Glass switches from paper to CORBI sealed edge plastic tier sheets for glass supplied to Sprecher and King Juice.
- CORBI establishes ability to repair top frames and pallets at CORBI’s service centers across the US.
- Clorox switches from paper to CORBI solid plastic tier sheets for its automotive fabric products.
- Universal Forest Products begins using CORBI custom sized protective separator pads of pallets of plastic lumber.
- 2009
- CORBI begins cleaning trays for McNeil Pharmaceutical using HACCP cleaning principles.
